Colour Drenched Cabinet by Chloe Kempster

Chloe says: A contemporary glazed display or drinks cabinet, dating originally from the Edwardian era but now updated to suit contemporary living. It features a mustard yellow frame, reeded glass detail, brand new toughened glass shelving, and a luxury metallic mirrored back panel. It also has the original working lock and key which is a lovely feature!

The frame and interior have been painted in Farrow & Ball 'Duster' a muted earthy yellow, which has a very slight satin sheen, and works as a great backdrop for the coloured glass panel. The ‘colour drenched look’ is intended to really highlight the stunning Edwardian inspired shape and enhance it's sophisticated look, with the addition of reeded detail on the glass.

It would have previously been used for china and collectables, but now makes more of a statement with a modern and colourful update to suit a more contemporary home or retail space. It would look great as a gin cabinet, or used for jewellery, shoes, books or toiletries in a luxury space..
